Teachers’ Day Celebrated with an Innovative Approach at Fakir Mohan University

Balasore, Sept 5 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): With the emotion of remembering the teacher as the foundation of knowledge, Fakir Mohan University observed this year’s Teachers’ Day in a distinctive manner.

Under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy, a special meeting was organized where the traditional felicitation ceremony of Teachers’ Day was transformed into an academic reflection. The session featured experience-based lectures on the teacher–student relationship, inspiring stories from faculty members, and discussions on the growth of values.

Addressing the gathering, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tripathy praised the contribution of every teacher to the university’s excellence. Each faculty member was felicitated with a shawl and a token of honor.

In his speech, he remarked, “A teacher is never confined to the syllabus alone. Along with academic knowledge, they guide students on the path of ideal conduct, research-mindedness, critical thinking, and social responsibility.”

The celebration also included a tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. With the active participation of professors, lecturers, researchers, and students, Teachers’ Day was redefined as a festival of learning and research culture.
