Youth arrested for attacking female student of Sambalpur University
Sambalpur (20/02/2025): A youth was arrested on Thursday for allegedly attacking a girl student of Sambalpur University. The accused identified as Rakesh Das was nabbed by Burla police.
The victim and the accused had a heated argument over phone.
The accused allegedly hit the student on the head with a brick, leaving her critically injured and bleeding profusely near Metakani temple near Burla in Sambalpur district. The police are investigating the matter, and the victim is undergoing treatment at VIMSAR in Burla.
