FORMER ODISHA ASSEMBLY SPEAKER MAHESWAR MOHANTY PASSES AWAY, CM CONDOLES DEATH
Bhubaneswar(07/11/2023): Former Odisha Assembly Speaker Maheswar Mohanty passed away on Tuesday.
He was 67. Mohanty had been under treatment at the a private hospital in Bhubaneswar since a week after he fell ill on October 31. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik condoled the death of Maheswar Mohanty and said his demise is a big loss for Odisha.
He served as the Speaker of Odisha Assembly from 2004 till 2008.
