Union Minister Nitin Gadkari launches Rs 4000 crore worth highway projects in Odisha

Bhubaneswar (17/04/2025): Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari launched highway projects at Baramunda Ground in Bhubaneswar on Thursday. The Union Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stone for 19 projects covering 154 kilometers in the state. Gadkari launched 13 National Highway projects worth 2905 crore.
He laid the foundation stone for 4 CRIF bridges worth Rs 427 crore and inaugurated two National Highway projects worth Rs 841 crore. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that Odisha's road infrastructure will be similar to America's.
He stated that road development work is continuously progressing in Odisha.
In the next two years, project work worth Rs 3 lakh crore will be undertaken.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi requested the Union Minister to convert the road to Puri into an 8-lane highway.
The Chief Minister demanded that the 4-lane road be expanded to 8 lanes and also requested that service roads be included.".
